As a new decade gets under way, UC Cycling has begun preparations for a big 2010 season. Current training schedule includes roller sessions Monday & Wednesday evenings at 8:30 at 138 Warner St. (contact club president Kenny Gardner if interested in attending and please do gardnekw@uc.edu). Saturday morning rides outdoors (weather permitting of course) will be on more of a week to week basis, so contact anyone in the club to get on our mailing list for updates. Also we urge all members and non to try to make it, if you can take the cold and it has actually been “warmer” lately so no reason not to go, to the Sunday morning Hyde Park rides. Great ride to whip you into shape. Happy 2010 everyone and happy training!

Summer Racing
August 27th, 2009![]() |
The UC Cycling team is off to an excellent summer of racing! We began the summer with a team training camp in the Appalachian Mountains where we climbed over 12,000 feet in the weekend. Our trip concluded at the summit of Clingman’s Dome, the highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The following week ten riders started in the first Ault Park race series which continues over a period of six weeks. Kevin, Adam, and Aaron worked together and managed to give Paul Ryan a lead out to win the third sprint of the evening. The following week, we attended the Summer Solstice stage race in Wilmington, Ohio, with a number of strong teams including RGF Solutions Cycling Team and PA Lightening Race Team.
Some upcoming races that UC Cycling plans to participate in are the Hyde Park Blast, Tour d’Burg, Superweek Pro Tour, and Gateway Cup. Our weekly training rides will continue throughout the whole summer. For more information please check out our calendar or contact info@cincinnaticycling.com if you have any questions.
